Urbino, “Capital of the Renaissance” is located between the valleys of the Metauro and Foglia rivers, on two hills at 451m a.s.l., from which you can enjoy a vast panorama that embraces green hills and magnificent mountains. The old town, of noteworthy artistic beauty and in a beautiful panoramic position, it was proclaimed a UNESCO world heritage site in 1998.

Piazza Duca Federico, the enchanting piazza is dominated by the Ducal Palace, by the Neoclassical Cathedral, work of the famous architect Valadier and by the façade of the Gothic church of Saint Domenico, adorned by an elegant Renaissance doorway in stone;

Ducal Palace, splendid princely residence, one of the finest expressions of Italian Renaissance architecture, it was desired by Duke Federico da Montefeltro. The equilibrium and harmony of the Cortile d’onore is the great work of the architect Laurana. The prestigious rooms, rich in fine artistic elements, host the National Gallery of the Marche, one among the most important art collection of Italy, famous for containing authentic masterpieces of the Renaissance: from the Flagellazione (Flagellation) of Piero della Francesca to the Muta of Raphael and to the veduta della Città Ideale, besides the works of Luca Signorelli, Paolo Uccello, Federico Barocci, Titian, Gentileschi etc. Unmissable is lo Studiolo by Federico di Montefeltro, absolute masterpiece of the 15th century, famous for its inlay perspectives;

Home of Raphael Sanzio, where the great painter was born, it contains famous reproductions of his works of art, besides the very first painting he was supposed to have done;

Oratory of Saint John the Baptist, rich in precious Gothic frescoes produced by the Salimbeni brothers in 1416;

Albornoz Fortress, splendid panoramic point from where you can admire the old town and the Ducal Palace, but also the harmony of the Apennine mountains of the provinces of Umbria and the Marche.
